In 2008, MetLife opened its new corporate headquarters in New York City. Studio 210 created and installed interior graphics and artwork for MetLife’s flagship property and has provided similar services nationally in several MetLife branches as well as The MetLife Bank.
Corporate Headquarters (1095 Avenue of the Americas,
New York, NY)
- Assignment: Working in tandem with interior architects and within the design direction of MetLife’s new corporate headquarters, develop a creative strategy for interior branding and a signage system; leverage historic and international assets as well as iconographic elements (e.g., MetLife blimp and Snoopy).
- Objective: Enhance the newly constructed interior office environment with artwork and imagery proprietary to MetLife, representing a different global region on each floor and highlighting MetLife’s New York City heritage.
- Results: Photography of three MetLife blimps were converted into murals and wrapped on walls and were also used as framed artwork. International Snoopys branded the elevator foyer and main conference room. Historic mural wall wraps and framed artwork were also strategically placed throughout the space. Five locations were completed by 12/2010, with eight more planned for 2011.
